COOKIES POLICY

The following information about our Cookie Policy reflects Scooters CostaBrava’s (hereinafter Scooters CostaBrava) commitment as the data controller to use tracking mechanisms and similar technologies, ensuring the respect for the privacy of each user of our services. In this document, we explain how we use tracking files and similar technologies during the use of our services:

1. DESCRIPTION OF TRACKING FILES

A “Tracking File” is a small set of characters that a website stores in the user’s browser, facilitating navigation through a web page and being essential for the functioning of the Internet.

Tracking files are used, for example, to remember user preferences on the website, such as language or the type of browser used, analyze user habits and behaviors to improve the services offered, or personalize the content of a web page according to visitor preferences.

2. TYPES OF TRACKING FILES WE USE

ACCORDING TO THE ENTITY THAT MANAGES THEM

First-party tracking files: These are sent to your device from our own servers or domains and are used to provide the requested service. Third-party tracking files: These are sent to your device from a server or domain that is not managed by us but by another collaborating entity. For example, those used by social networks or external content.

ACCORDING TO THE TIME THEY REMAIN ACTIVE

Session tracking files: These are temporary files that are stored in your browser’s tracking file until you leave the website. They are not recorded on your computer’s hard drive. The information obtained through these files is used to analyze traffic patterns on the website, allowing us to improve content and facilitate its use. Persistent tracking files: These are stored on the hard drive and are read each time you visit our website. These files have a specific expiration date and stop functioning once that date is reached. We typically use these files to facilitate purchase and registration services.

Remember that tracking files are not invasive since all information obtained through them is completely anonymous and cannot be associated with a specific, identified user. This information allows us to adapt and improve our services according to users’ interests. However, you have the option to prevent the generation of tracking files by selecting the corresponding option in your browser. Keep in mind that if you disable the use of tracking files, browsing may be slower than usual.

3. LEGAL BASIS FOR THE USE OF TRACKING FILES

The legal basis for the use of strictly necessary tracking files derives from compliance with a legal obligation according to Law 34/2002, Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce Law.

The legal basis for the use of tracking files for analytical, optimization, personalization, behavioral advertising, and evaluation purposes is based on the consent requested in accordance with Article 6.1.a) of Regulation (EU) 2017/679.

4. INFORMATION RETENTION PERIOD

We will retain the information for as long as it is necessary to provide the requested service until you express your opposition or revoke your consent. In these cases, the information will be properly blocked and will not be used as long as it is necessary for the exercise or defense of legal or contractual claims. Once this period has elapsed, your data will be permanently deleted.

Regarding files obtained automatically through tracking files, please note that some may remain on your device for years. However, you can limit their use over time by deleting them from your browsers or devices.

5. WAYS TO BLOCK AND LIMIT THE USE OF TRACKING FILES:

It is important to note that these technologies are not invasive since all information obtained through tracking files is completely anonymous and cannot be associated with a specific, identified user. This information allows us to adapt and improve our services according to users’ interests. However, you have the option to prevent the generation of tracking files by selecting the corresponding option in your browser’s settings. Please note that if you disable the use of tracking files, browsing may be slower than usual.

Specifically, all browsers allow you to make changes to disable tracking file settings. These settings can be found in the “options” or “preferences” menu of your browser. Below are links with instructions on how to disable tracking files in the most commonly used browsers:
